Eury German: Artist. Eury German is a dancing artist originally from the Dominican Republic, but has lived north of Boston all his life before moving to New York City in summer of 2016. Eury started dancing modern and ballet at Wesleyan University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Dance. To further his technique Eury attended the American Dance Festival Six Week School in the summer of 2014 and The San Francisco Conservatory of Dance and Strictly Seattle in the summer of 2015. In the fall of 2016 Eury will be attending the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts to earn an MFA in Dance.
Ashley Peters: Artist. Originally from Utica, NY, Ashley Peters graduated summa cum laude from the University at Buffalo with a BFA in Dance and a BA in Psychology. She currently dances for Ballaro Dance as well as works at Gibney Dance Center. Ashley has been a featured soloist with the Balasole Dance Company, toured Europe as a solo artist with Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp’s International Ballet Ensemble as well as performed at Jacob’s Pillow with Melanie Aceto Contemporary Dance Company. In 2012, she was presented an Award of Distinction in Research from the University at Buffalo on her thesis regarding the history and applications of jazz dance. Ashley resides in Brooklyn and is thrilled to be apart of RahDance!
Jessica Reidy: Artist. Jess (BFA SUNY Brockport) is a freelance dancer, choreographer and NASM Certified Personal Trainer based in Brooklyn, New York. As a founding member of Treeline Dance Works, she has had the pleasure of performing at Abundance International Dance Festival (Sweden), REVERBdance Festival, Women in Dance, Current Sessions, American Dance Guild, White Wave Festival, Rebound Dance Festival, Ball State University and many festivals throughout the east coast and mid-west. She has helped Treeline DW set repertory on students of Franklin and Marshall College and has been a guest teaching artist at Glendale Community College, and Grand Canyon University (AZ). Reidy’s own work has been presented by DUMBO DANCE FESTIVAL, WAXworks, Under Exposed, Fertile Ground, Figment NYC, Middlessex University (UK), and as a guest choreographer with areadance (PA). She has also had the honor of performing in works by Mariah Maloney, James Hansen, David Dorfman, Earl Mosely, and Megan Harold among others. She is absolutely thrilled to be with RahDance on stage and in the studio.
Mark Schmidt: Guest Artist. Mark is a performer, choreographer and model living in Brooklyn, NY. He regularly collaborates with artists working in film animation, sound, set and fashion design. He holds a BA in Cultural Studies from the New School for Social Research in New York and MFA in Performance and Choreography from the State University of New York College at Brockport. As a choreographer, Mark has produced work for performances at Detroit Contemporary and ArtLabJ in Detroit, and Dixon Theater, Gotham Hall, Chen Dance Center and Triskelion Arts in New York. In addition to his life in the contemporary dance world, he has appeared in multiple videos for music and fashion by model photographer/film director Rie Rasmussen. When not performing, Mark can occasionally be found working as a production assistant for art director Reynaldo Davis Carter. This includes sets for fashion publications Vs. Magazine, Italian Vogue, L’Officiel, and photographer/director Ellen VonUnwerth.
Michele Wilson: Artist. Michele grew up dancing at several local dance studios in her hometown of Elmira, NY. Michele then went on to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance from the State University of New York, College at Brockport. During her years at Brockport and since, she has studied with artists including Wally Wolfgruber, David Dorfman, Bill Evans, Jacquie Davis, Jenn Nugent, and James Hansen. After graduation, she headed to New York City where she works and plays as a dancer and arts administrator. Deeply rooted in the NYC dance world, Michele has held positions at Gallim Dance, the American Dance Festival, Youth America Grand Prix, and Miguel Gutierrez and the Powerful People, as well as Gibney Dance where she currently works as the Associate Director of Operations. Michele produced and performed in the SUNY Brockport AlumniDance Showcase for four years. She also served on the Junior Committee of Dance/NYC for two years, and is now a member of their Advisory Committee. Michele has performed extensively in NYC and across the country with choreographers including Missy Pfohl Smith, Marisa Ballaro, Jocelyn McIntosh, Stacy Pottinger, and Jenny Showalter, as well as in the half-time show of the Pro-Bowl in Honolulu.
