RahMoves: Brussels, Belgium

Chocolate and Beer and Street Art, oh my! Yaaass to Brussels showing up with lots of sweet streets, fun artwork, tasty beer,  quirky shops, and yes….lots of chocolate. I only had two days so I just touched the surface. I did what I could. If you are there for a short time like me, then I say stay in the center – everything was very accessible. Also…make sure to see the Grand Palace at night.

What Moved Me
Hello, Street Art! I mean, wow. If you are into the wonderfully talented world of street art then you gots to go to Brussels. I was blown away. I saw art in the most unexpected places and in such variety – some that made me laugh, some that made me nostalgic, others that were clever, many that were cheeky, and a few that were just beautiful. I had to contribute in my own way:

The Places to See
(1) Royal Gallery of Saint Hubert
(2) Grand Palace/Stadhuis van Brussels
(3) Brussels Park (try to walk in or out of it by passing by the Augustin-Daniel Comte Belliard landmark because of some sneaky street art sightings)
(4) Mont de Arts

Street Art Stops
This is a great resource since I barely scratched the surface

The Eats & Drinks
(1) Manneken Pis Cafe for beer
(2) Le Porte Noire for beer
(3) La Fleur en Papier Dove – super fun and local spot for traditional food
(4) Chocolate from basically anywhere, but I liked Neuhaus
(5) Mokafe for an easy breakfast
