Nathalie Matychak is a performer, artistic director, producer and arts administrator based in Brooklyn, NY. She received her training from LaGuardia Arts High School and a holds BFA in Dance Performance & Choreography from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She has danced in original works created by: Milton Myers, Kyle Abraham, Adam Barruch, Sidra Bell, Stacy Spence and Nathan Trice. She founded her CUNY-award winning company, MATYCHAK, in 2011, where she has shown her own work at Joe’s Pub, Dixon Place, 92nd Street Y, Symphony Space, Peridance Capezio Center, Westbeth and LaGuardia High School and performs as a freelancer with Alex M Schell’s AMS Project. She has received choreographic mentorship from Doug Varone and Stephen Petronio. Her dance studies are enriched by training Shaolin kung fu under 34th Generation Shaolin Warrior Monk Sifu Shi Yan Ming at the USA Shaolin Temple.
