Jess Moore: Dance Advocate
What Moves You?
“I am moved by seeing the unifying power of dance in our communities. Expansion of social and cultural interaction through dance provides a feeling of togetherness, in the most primal and human way. A dancing community, is a happy community.”
Jessica Moore is the founder of Dance Days of Buffalo, a three day dance festival and year round dance service organization located in Buffalo, NY. Jessica holds a BFA from the College at Brockport where she spent her summers on a full tuition scholarship with Doug Varone and Dancers, The Jose Limon Dance Company and The Mark Morris Dance Group. While in Buffalo she spent time performing with The Foxy Diamondz while working for Free Soul Dance under the direction of Kara Mann. Her choreography has been presented in a range of venues including The National Conference for Undergraduate Research, and in stark contrast, musical productions including Reefer Madness and Songs for a New World. She hopes to see dance continue to blossom in her beautiful hometown of Buffalo.
