Talia Putrino: Dancer
What Moves You?
“The people in my life, the beauty that surrounds me each and everyday, the experiences I’ve been fortunate to have and the ones that have yet to come. What moves me is the drive to give back to dance all that it as given to me. There are so many incredible artists out there and I feel beyond blessed to be able to be here in New York immersed in this world of ours. It’s just incredible!”
Talia Putrino hails from Endicott, NY and currently resides in New York City. This past May, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance from The University at Buffalo. There she was a member of the Zodiaque Dance Company and served as Director for the student run production of “Dancer’s Workshop.” Her choreography has been seen in the Emerging Choreographers Showcase at UB as well as through dance studios both in the Binghamton and Buffalo areas. Currently, Talia teaches dance at the Williamsburg Movement and Arts Center in Brooklyn, NY and works as an administrative intern for Steps on Broadway. Recent performance credits include the Peridance Faculty Showcase, NACHMOx at The Tank and RAW New York City. She is very passionate about bringing happiness to the audience members through performance. True meaning in movement can only be expressed through the honesty of the dancer. This has become a major goal and driving force for Talia in her creative work.
