Leanne Rinelli is an Assistant Professor of Dance at the University of Texas at El Paso and co-director of Mountain Movement Dance Company. She received her MFA in Choreography and Performance from SUNY The College at Brockport and has danced with Dayton Contemporary Dance Company II, Janet Reed and Dancers, Bill Evans Dance, STEAMROLLER Dance Company, and kDiehl Danceworks. Leanne’s work has been presented internationally in festivals in Guatemala, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, and Croatia. This summer her choreography will be shown at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland. Leanne enjoys learning about and dancing salsa. She has traveled to Cuba to study Afro-Cuban dance, Cuban style salsa, and Cuban contemporary dance. When she’s not dancing, Leanne can be found on her yoga mat.
