Caroline Nelson: Dancer and Venue Manager
New York City
What Moves You?
“I feel strongly connected to the multifaceted dancer. I’ve purposefully chosen to be both professional modern dancer along with being a full time venue manager. It’s crucial for dancers (of any discipline) to value our deep intelligence and intuition that is naturally inherited within our craft, and to bring those talents outside of the dance studio and share them with the world.”
Caroline Nelson is a founding member of Treeline Dance Works and Falcon Dance / Brit Falcon, while freelancing for numerous other dance companies within NYC. Performance credits include theaters, found spaces, colleges, and universities throughout the US as well as Europe. Caroline holds a BFA from SUNY the College at Brockport, Magna cum Laude, where she performed in works by Keigwin and Company and David Dorfman Dance, among others. Caroline is also a manager at House of Yes: a groundbreaking theater, nightclub, and performance collective based in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
