“Music is probably what moves me most but sharing of experiences is definitely something that moves me, emotionally and physically.”
Ashley Chavonne began training in ballet, jazz and dance forms of the African diaspora at an early age in Detroit, MI. She attended The Ohio State University earning degrees in dance performance and strategic communications and brought her talents to NYC soon after graduation. As a Brooklyn based artist, she has had the pleasure to work with a number of choreographers as a performer, teaching artist and choreography assistant. She has also had the pleasure of working in arts administration assisting with marketing for emerging choreographers and arts service organizations and hopes to continue her work as a performer and marketing strategist in support of the performing arts. She is excited to be working with Leah Tubbs and ModArts Dance Collective.
